The Office hours for the Dallas Municipal Court is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Closed for lunch daily from 12:00 p.m.– 1:00 p.m. Closed certain approved holidays.

How can I pay my citation and what methods can I use? You can come to the Dallas Police Dept., at 120 Main Street, Dallas, Ga. And pay with Cash, Credit, Debit or Money Order during the hours of 8 a.m. thru 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, closed for lunch 12 – 1. Closed some approved holidays. You can go online to Dallaspay.com or you can call 1-844-324-8815. If you use a credit or debit card at any location there will be a third party 3.5% service charge.

Do you accept checks for payment on citations? No. We do not accept personal checks for any form of payments.

How do I know if I must appear in court or if I can pay my citation and not appear? Most officers will let you know when you receive your citation if you must appear or not. If you are not sure, call Court Services at 770-443-8102 ext. 2 and the Court Clerks will be glad to help you.

Can someone else pay my citation for me? Yes, if it is not a must appear citation, someone else can pay it for you up until 5:00 p.m. the day before your court date. If it is not paid by then, you will have to appear in court.

How can I get a Continuance or Postponement on my citation? You must provide proof as to why you would need one to the Clerk for a first time continuance, any thereafter has to be approved by the Judge.

How can I apply for a Court Appointed Attorney if I can’t afford to obtain one on my own? You must appear in court on your first arraignment court date and advise the Judge. He will provide you with an application to be filled out and turned back in to the Clerk of Court along with a $50.00 application fee. The Clerk will advise you whether you are approved or not.

How do I get someone out of Jail? All arrests made by the Dallas Police Dept. are housed at the Acworth Jail. You can call their book-in clerk at 770-974-0295 for further details.

How do I get in touch with my Probation Officer? The City of Dallas utilizes Intertech Security and Investigation out of Cedartown for our Probation needs. You will meet with your Probation Officer, Stephanie Nesbitt, on the day of sentencing and she will advise you of the times to meet with her at the Dallas Police Dept.
